Here's how it works... • Stage 1: The water enters and travels through our patented high performance blending of NSF certified KDF 55 and the finest quality Coconut Shell activated carbons. During this performance stage there is a substantial reduction of chlorine, lead, mercury, iron taste and minor levels of hydrogen sulfide. In addition lime, scale, mold, fungi, chloramines are reduced and a bacteriostatic environment is created that inhibits the growth of bacteria, micro organisms and viruses. The NSF certified KDF 55 greatly enhances the performance of the highly activated carbons.
• Stage 2: The water continues its travel through a high performance blend of carbon, which is designed to further eliminate/ reduce chlorine, bad taste, odors, dissolved organic and inorganic chemicals and reduces heavy metals such as: lead, mercury, cadmium, chloroform, sulfides, arsenic, THMS, VOC's, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, MTBE* and BTEX* (*petroleum and crude oil by-products) and more.
• Stage 3: The water travels through a high density Garnet Bed, which is designed to reduce any carbon fines and trap any sediment that may enter the Collection Stage.
• Stage 4: The filtered water enters the final performance stage and is now treated by a magnetic field. As water passes through this, the magnetic field serves to soften the water tension thereby giving a softening effect without the need for salt or other chemicals.
